“Initially, I was wary of outsourcing this work, but I can honestly say it is the best thing we did. We receive excellent service and have an open collaborative relationship which is just what’s needed to move us forward and tackle the difficult e-adoption issues … and, it makes good sense financially too. More organisations like ours should do this.”

CSWP. Viretec provided design consultancy for an eBusiness adoption project in the West Midlands
Coventry Solihull & Warwickshire Partnership needed a funding application for a £15M media-centric project in double-quick time. Viretec Consulting was able to respond to the timescales, providing the expertise in ICT and business support programmes to develop a highly innovative project proposal. The speed and quality of the response surprised and delighted everyone involved.
Need
With the deadline for new funding applications looming, CSWP needed to develop their ideas for a media-centric local economic growth programme, and produce a quality European funding application within two weeks. They needed experts with the right experience and connections who could act fast to meet the deadline.

Approach

Viretec Consulting, working in partnership with Workmates, shaped the initial concept papers and ideas into a credible project, and put into a structured format to meet the Government Office

requirements. The final design involved a new digital media centre; distance learning direct to the home; digital IP-TV; and mobile internet technology. The funding application was prepared and submitted on time, in record time. Once submitted, Viretec initiated partnering with high profile media partners, engaging the CSWP team in high level talks with key players, including BT and Sony.

Outcome

The project, now called "e-Factor" was successful in securing European funding from the Government Office at the end of 2007. The project is now underway with partnerships with Sony, Rawflow, Coventry University Enterprises and The University of Warwick (The National B2B Centre & WMG Digital Labs) developing well.
